Brothers, after years of procurement experience, what kind of pitfalls haven't we seen? Take wooden stairs—what's the biggest fear? Your container arrives overseas, and when the client opens it, the treads are warped, the finish is scratched, or they don't match the newel posts or balusters. The project delays, the boss yells at you, the client deducts your payment—how fair is that?
To put it simply, there are three major pain points in the industry: solid wood warping, surface scratches, and corners hitting people. Customers suffer—despite clear drawings, on-site issues like color differences or dimensional deviations often occur, and rework costs end up exceeding the product price itself. So what can be done? We've developed a practical, proven solution.
Lignomaster's treads are different from the fast-grown woods commonly found on the market. We insist on using solid hardwood logs sourced from North America and Europe—oak, walnut, and similar species. Upon arrival at our factory, the logs are stored for several months to allow their moisture content to stabilize naturally. Then they undergo three stages of sanding: coarse, medium, and fine, each processed through belt sanders followed by polishing machines. All edges are rounded off. Touch them, and they feel as smooth as a baby’s bottom—so smooth that even a steel ball rolled across won’t cause any discomfort. The result? When you send out Wooden Stairs samples, customers can install them immediately without needing further sanding—reliable and hassle-free. Even after years in use, the stairs maintain their original feel: quiet, stable, and firm underfoot.
When it comes to product features, just remember three points:
Solid wood without joints: Each step is crafted from a single solid piece of timber, with no finger-jointed seams or veneer. The unique grain pattern is unmistakable—clients instantly recognize and appreciate it in high-end villas and luxury hotels.
Rounded edges for foot-friendly comfort: All corners are beveled with an R3 radius, so walking barefoot won't chafe your toes. During overseas workwear inspections, testers specifically stepped on it—this board has hardly ever caused any discomfort. In terms of scratch resistance, after three sanding passes, the surface is so smooth it can serve as a tabletop.
Pre-drilled compatibility slots: Our treads come pre-cut with grooves, perfectly matched to the installation dimensions of Stair Newel Posts and Stair Balusters. Just let me know which post model you're using, and I'll mill it directly—no on-site cutting required, saving both labor and time.
Here are two quick tips—no fluff, just practical advice for fellow travelers:
Don't rush to install the goods as soon as they arrive! First, unpack them and leave them on-site for two days to acclimate to the local temperature and humidity. This simple step can eliminate 90% of after-sales issues—most warping and gaps are caused by unbalanced moisture levels.
② For overseas customers selecting the floating staircase (without vertical panels), please remind them to purchase and install anti-slip strips. We have pre-cut slots on the treads at the factory, so no additional drilling is required—simply snap the strips into place.
Experienced buyers know what's the biggest fear in wholesale? It's receiving goods that don't match the description. With every batch of exported footboards from Lignomaster, we provide moisture content test reports and actual wood grain photos. You're welcome to randomly inspect any piece—should even one fail, we'll cover the full container return. To be honest, reliability is far more valuable than just low price.
